Collom & Carney remains open and committed to caring for our family, friends and neighbors. We have implemented the following precautions for the safety of everyone. Only the patient and one guest/caregiver will be allowed inside our clinic.
Patients with Appointments
Precautions: If you currently have a fever/had a fever in the past week but were not diagnosed with the flu, have traveled outside the Texarkana region/been on a cruise or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, call your provider before your scheduled appointment. They will determine whether your appointment needs to be rescheduled.
Building Entrance: Patients can only enter through the Main Entrance of the clinic. Once you enter the building, you will be prescreened and required to wear a mask while inside the clinic. If you do not have a mask one will be provided.
Patients without Appointments
Precautions: Please call the clinic first, so our team can prescreen you over the phone.
Pediatric Appointment Changes
Because of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) spread, we are changing our pediatric appointment schedule. Our pediatricians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will see well children before Noon. Appointments for sick children will be handled during the afternoon and at the night clinic. After check-in, we are giving you the option to wait in your car until we are ready to put you in an exam room. Please call (903) 614-3002 for this service or any questions. Please do not bring sick children to the clinic before Noon. Keep well siblings and friends at home, if you are bringing your child to our sick clinic in the afternoon. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Update: The federal government has expanded services to all Medicare and Medicaid patients to include routine office visits, mental health counseling and preventive health screenings. CMS policy only covers Medicare & Medicaid in the home during the pandemic. Collom & Carney is expanding its telemedicine services by making more providers available.
